TSI - Technology Support Internship

The IB Tech Support Internship (TSI) program is comprised of ambitious and motivated students who have an interest in computers and technology The TSI program gives students an opportunity to work in IB technology department doing a variety of tasks. Students accepted into the program gain valuable on the job experience. Students interested in applying for the program must agree to the prerequisites below.

Senior Tech Candidates

A current Junior in good academic standing
Trustworthy
Well mannered
Mature
Willing/able to follow directions
Must have a car/transportation to and from school after regular school hours
Must be able to work 3 days a week this summer
Must be willing to participate in the work co-op program

Junior Tech Candidates

A current sophomore in good academic standing
Trustworthy
Well mannered
Mature
Willing/able to follow directions
Must have a car/transportation to and from school after regular school hours
Must be able to work 3 days a week this summer
Must be willing to participate in non-paid independent study class

Overview of Program

Requirements:

Must have a car/transportation to and from school after regular school hours
Must be a Sophomore or Junior
Must have an interest in computers and technology
Must be able to work after school 3-5 times a week for an hour each

Provide level one tech support for students and staff
1. Projector issues
2. Device issues
3. Classroom setup
4. Printer issues
5. User education issues
Manage student chromebook program (repair devices, inventory control, tech support)
1. Repair devices
2. Manage inventory
3. Troubleshoot issues
Summer work
1. Setting up new chromebooks
2. Setting up classrooms
3. Computer lab work
